Information You Choose to Send
Search entries
A name, place, or other term entered into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Cumberland County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own end. The provider’s privacy notice controls its handling of the submission.
Messages and requests
If a visitor emails or sends a contact message, the message and contact details may be kept long enough to answer it, handle a correction, or maintain a related business record. They are not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to address a legal or security issue.
Technical Details Collected on Visits
Like most public web pages, the service may receive routine technical details when a page loads:
- IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring page or site, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the pages or keep a feature working. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. If they are blocked, some functions may act differently.
How Information Is Used
- Keep the pages available, responsive, and secure.
- Send search submissions to the selected partner service.
- Understand which pages visitors find useful.
- Find errors, abuse, and technical problems.
- Show advertising that may reflect a visitor’s interests.
Government and Partner Links
Pages may point to Cumberland sheriff and jail contacts, police FOIA forms, court portals, state and federal locators, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the receiving organization’s privacy policy and terms apply. Cumberland County Busted Mugshots does not control those systems, their uptime, or their data practices.
Advertising partners may also track activity across different sites to measure campaigns or deliver interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on their systems, not through a promise that this domain controls every outside cookie or identifier.
Possible Recipients
Personal information is not sold by the operator. Depending on the interaction, it may be available to the following parties:
- Search partners that receive search entries.
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and page use.
- Advertising networks that support displayed ads.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order or other lawful demand requires disclosure.
Security Efforts and Limits
Reasonable standard security practices are used for an internet service. No connected system, email account, or outside provider is completely secure, and no promise is made that a breach can never occur. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive information in a message that is not needed to identify the record.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted information, a parent or guardian may contact the operator and ask that it be deleted, subject to records needed for a legal or security reason.
Requests About Your Information
- Ask what personal information may be held about your interaction.
- Request correction of information that is wrong.
- Ask for deletion where no legal, security, or operational reason requires retention.
- Ask to opt out of certain processing, such as available advertising or analytics choices.
